Protecting our pennies



The U.S. Mint at 320 W. Colfax Ave. in Denver is one of four coin-producing mints in the United States -- and one of two that produce currency. (The other two produce only commemorative coins.)

Security at the facility is high. Public tours are cancelled if the national security threat is raised to level orange or above.

During this visit, BlogDog seemed to believe he had a personal responsibility to protect the mint from danger. Matt thought BlogDog looked like he might scare off a few tourists as well.
