Get your daily scoop: Ice Cream Week

On the second day of Ice Cream Week, BlogDog headed to The Daily Scoop on 12th Ave. and Madison. He wasn't sure if he would get to sample the frozen yumminess, so he brought his bone.

The Daily Scoop sells
frozen custard, which the website describes as premium ice cream with extra egg yolk added to enhance the smoothness and flavor. Offerings include a special flavor of the day, which could be anything from the unfortunate sounding Black Forrest Cheesecake to the divine classic, Chocolate Brownie.

Mary was highly suspicious of frozen custard, but is now a believer. Her sundae was delicious and the prices were very reasonable.

BlogDog's take: There were mini dog treats in the bowl on the table and a big water dish outside. This place is dog-friendly and therefore awesome.

  2. BlogDog,

I'm a fan of frozen custard too- I always get it when I visit "the Nana" in Florida. Glad Mary's experience was better today than it was yesterday! Chocolate Brownie? You can't go wrong there!

I'm with BlogDog, dog friendly is a make or break for any establishment.

Better yet, Good Times has a drive thru and sells a wide variety of frozen custard treats. Everyone likes a drive thru
