During a walk in City Park, Mary and BlogDog spent some time at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial.
They were both impressed by this monument. Designed by sculptor Ed Dwight, the memorial recognizes not only Dr. King, but many other prominent people in the civil rights movement.
Mary was glad she had a chance to check it out at her own pace now, without the crowds and parades that accompany the holiday in January.
