Today, Mary and BlogDog visited the Cherry Blossom Festival, a celebration of Japanese-American culture in downtown Denver.
Paper lanterns fluttered overhead and Japanese dancers performed on stage. Booths with Japanese trinkets and gifts lined the street.
Temperatures were in the low 80s, but it seemed much hotter on the asphalt between 19th and 20th on Larimer. BlogDog was pulling and straining to grab a moment of shade under every table.
Mary must have been affected by the sun as well. She set the camera to "video" instead of "auto" and couldn't understand why she wasn't able to review the images. Only after dragging BlogDog out from under the tables and away from the festival did she realize she had not taken even one photograph -- but had a series of rather dull videos, such as the one above.
Blog Dog, maybe next time you should use the camera. :-)
